Origin Story:
As a child of the 80's many of my style cues come from that formative decade and this comes from Magnum PI's character Jonathan Higgins AKA Robin Masters. The character was a product of venerable blue blood English institutions Eton, Sandhurst and MI6. He wore this style as his "uniform" pants and shorts while estate caretaker in Hawaii. These are named for the fearsome Gurkha soldiers who donned them in battle when they encountered the British in the Anglo-Nepalese war circa 1814. The style has experienced a renaissance of late due to their sartorial elegance, unique utility and extraordinary comfort.
How It Wears:
A striking design with elegant waistband is remarkably comfortable. The utilitarian built-in belting style makes these infinitely wearable. They will have you thinking, "where have these been all these years?"
